Graham Lindsey struck a terrific hat-trick that brought up his 100th goal for Fareham Town as he helped them to a 4-1 win over Alton on Saturday.
The match saw a resurgent Fareham town take on a lowly opposition in Alton in a thrilling fixture.
Having beaten their rivals AFC Porchester in midweek, the Creeksiders were brewing with confidence as they looked to continue their resurgence.
The game was controlled by Fareham from start to finish as Alton offered very little threat.
Graham Lindsey’s man of the match performance helped him reach the pesonal milestone. Matt Burt got the other goal.
With the win, Fareham Town remain in eighth place but close to within goal difference of GE Hamble in seventh place.
They are also within three points of Bemerton who are in fifth place.
And they will have a chance to bridge that gap when they play their next match on Saturday April 13 which is against Bournemouth at Home.
