Fareham FC were beaten 3-1 by Bournemouth in the Sydenhams Football League Premier Division on Tuesday (December 4) night.
Bournemouth always looked likely to score as they posed a real threat from set pieces right from the start. Their pressure did pay off in the end when they raced into the lead.
Liam Robinson did manage to net for Fareham but it seemed to only be a consolation for them.
The defender, who has only played three times, has managed to score on two occasions suggesting he can be a real attacking threat for Fareham.
The result leaves them in eighth place but Fareham have played far more games than Blackfield & Langley who are their closest rivals beneath them.
Whilst looking up the table, GE Hamble and Newport IOW are both locked on 31 points and are ahead by just two points.
So a win at the weekend could see Fareham climb up the Sydenhams Football League Premier Division.
Next up for Fareham is an away fixture against Hamworthy United on Saturday (December 8). It is a 3pm kick off.
